About the Symposium:

Forestry Extension Programs deliver non-formal education to private non-corporate forest owners in many parts of the world. This education involves collaboration with various entities including agencies, private companies, landowners, and non-governmental organizations. This symposium will explore the many ways education is delivered and how these collaborations can be nurtured. The symposium will feature keynote presentations, invited papers, and field trips to highlight collaborative forestry extension education.

An international workshop focusing on "best practices" for developing and delivering extension program will be featured on Wednesday, October 1. Papers highlighting successful practices from many countries around the world will be included.

Hosted by:

The Forestry Extension Program, Oregon State University, College of Forestry; Association of Natural Resources Extension Professionals; and USDA Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service

Venue:

Edgefield is located at the western end of the Columbia River Gorge and only 15 minutes from the Portland International Airport. Edgefield features excellent food and drink in a relaxed setting.
